Before I could actually comment the collection, this show was by far the most disappointing “presentation” out of all shows I have been this season. Since all shows that is on the On|Off exhibition schedule are runway shows, we were expecting the same from this show since they had us waiting for more than 15 minutes in the press lounge but after all the rush from the last on-schedule show in Somerset house, most people just wanted to watch and go to the next at 1645 with Ziad, me too. As if the PR didnt invite me, this show wouldnt be on my schedule of the day.
Anyway after my ridculous and “chlidish” rant, lets talk about the collection. The whole collection is based with the basic black and white stripe pattern but diffuses into lots of different other patterns like the Zebra pattern, to the 80s patterns. With few splashes of bright colours, the garment brightened up and ready for the beach. One of the dresses reminded me of Matthew Williamson for H&M’s iconic dresses, with its splash of red and patterns. Other than beachwear dress in maxi-style, which seems like coming in for the season, also very slim cut vest-top with legging clashes each other made the outfit look outstanding yet not too over the top. This collection is one of the most wearable yet something you wont find in high street shops (maybe you will soon) but yet very creative with its patterns and designs but would like to see more dresses cutting instead of one-piece flare or wrap dress to create the shape.
