WestFASHION: 19. LFW Day 2 - Jacob Kimmie / Lako Bukia

According to official twitter updates from LFW, that the Saturday morning shows were all going with 15 minutes delay as the first show were apparently emptied, therefore they waited till 09:10-09:15 to start which had a knock off effect till mid-day.

With weather looking dump as ever in London, the team decided to stay inside and explore the exhibition which we haven't got a chance to "flick" through yet.

Round 4pm, after walking through 2 floors of exhibitions (yet 2 more floors to go), decided to leave the venue to take a break, and headed to Vauxhall Fashion Scout, where we saw Jacob Kimmie and Lako Bukia back to back (16:45 / 17:15)

Jacob Kimmie said in his press release - 'the collection ''Martyr'' is a subjective collection of archetypal fashion, my own staging, inspired by those before me.'

The feeling when walking into the venue and the start of the show reminds me the ancient of Egyptian era, but as the show carries on, seeing deconstructed cuttings which taken inspirations from the early 90s as the way to protest makes the collection unique and incomparable. Transparent panelling & mixing the monochrome with splits of red and denim.

Then straight-after Lako Bukia which takes place at the show hall downstairs.

The collection named 'CHOXA' which is inspired by the Georgian National Balley Men's costume of the same name. The colour palette used are subtle and careful, mixing the basics monochromes with wine red and pastel colours. Very edgy indeed. The most interesting details for me throughout the collections the shirt pockets with ballet attached with a very special cutting.

Yet again, like last few season, the striking footwear now have few more 'members', I will post more images of the footwear ASAP.
