Another jaw-dropping collection by the knit genius... dominated by wiring knitting techniques with the palette of greens. Matched with white backdrop. Still pretty amazing since his first collection back to the days when LFW was still in South Kensington.

07 - ISBIM Spring 2011

New Zealand based streetswear label ISBIM released its lookbook for Spring 2011. Everything are seeming to go back to urban basics with lighter palette of colours scatter round the shows and collection. BUT so far, I can guaranteed you to find some SS11 piece laying around High street / department store in some ridiculous prices. Have a look at the lookbook first, then tips after.

1. Stone Grey trenchcoat was available via Topman's Trench Coat project, have a look again.

2. Burnout vest / short-sleeve are already available from Revovle Clothing (on sale too) from the brand, Alternative Apparel.

3. Plain black tees with shoulder stripes (unclear) is available in COS.

4. White knee-length skinny... eerrmm... just cut up your white jeans! (LOL)

5. Black oversized tee available via AA womens section, and light blue shorts now on sale in H&M.

23 - Pomp And Circumstances

After McQueens death back in February, Gucci Group have found a new "McQueen" - Sarah Burton, will be taking over design responsibilities at "Alexander McQueen". She was a student in Central Saint. Martin back in 1996 while working in McQueen's studio as a work-study program.

All the way, from a trainee within a design house, to a designer first assistant, where she also responsible to transform McQueen runway pieces to a commercial pieces where you see in stores, throughout press. The group stated they are very positive about the future ahead from a insider from the McQueen Studio family.

Yesterday, Burton's first Mens collection under Alexander McQueen, which is still a brand that's developing into its demographics. Themed "Pomp And Circumstances". Comparing to previous patterns all over, this collection's more about the fabrics innovation and also its simplicity cutting that McQueens had. Surprisingly also audience are minimal, also the exposure, but this will be one of the highlights of Milan.
