McQ SS16

McQ Spring summer 2016 was revealed in series of lo-fi shorts, reconstructed frames digitally for the first time in the history of the eclectic brand. To capture its youthful, irreverent spirit of the brand's identity, McQ invited three creatives - Lea Colombo, Jack Davison and Sharna Osbourne to reinterpret the collection through their own specialise communication channels. The presentation happened down the Crypt of Spitalfield's Christ Church, 2 decades after the late Lee Alexander McQueen showed his AW1996 collection there.

Alexander Wang X H&M ...so far

Felt like yesterday when the announcement of Wang's collaboration with H&M sent shockwaves through the industry, and here comes September where normally the whole collection will be previewed across all media, but this time round no words or anything from anyone except Condé Nast family.

While there's a complete feature of menswear from GQ October, womenswear only got one A4 page in Vogue and a picture of Rihanna wearing croptops & leggings from the collection.
Though there are many clues of what the collection will looks or features:-
- Almost All Black
- High-Tech Windbreakers (£99.99)
- Bonded Sweatshirts (£34.99) + Shorts (£59.99) + Trousers (£39.99) + Leggings
- T-Shirt Dresses (£79.99)
- Boxing Gloves (£34.99), Referee-Whistle Ring, Trophy Cap, Sunglasses with brace (£29.99(
- Yoga Mat with matching croptops & leggings
- Foam-injected Knit Sweaters with animal-like sweater
- Matt-Black padded raincoat (£149.99)
- Leather Tracksuit bottoms (£179.99)
- Many pieces are unisex.

Come November, all shall see.

All about "The Moving Image"

The fashion film movement came along during the recession to replace the expensive runway shows, but then also escalated to using so as a surprising campaign such as Calvin Klein Underwear's Superbowl ad and Versace for H&M headlining some mainstream TV and online video sites.
Just recently, the format of the fashion film have been transformed or could say being elevated to a new level - an experience or per se a reflection of our daily life instead of just a "wind-blowing in the hair" or "model walking down the street, looking normal like you do"
Firstly Calvin Klein is no new to the provocative description with their advertisement, this new film that released is no different except that it had divided into a part of 200 clips all featuring three different Calvin Klein sub-brands (ck / Collection / Jeans), to make the film more suggestive, it also features a Fabien Baron's vision of minimalist eroticism - Starring Alexander Skarsgard and Suvi Koponen.

Secondly, Lanvin famously made an in-joke by releasing their campaign film using "I Know You Want Me" as its background music and featuring model dancing to it. This time, it features Alber Elbaz himself via Skype, making commentary about the campaign video - bringing character, humour to it - only Alber Elbaz.

H&M Summer Lookbook 2013

Think ahead and pick your colours 6 months ahead. Get ready for the sun glazing over the skin. Hmmm!
If anyone realised, H&M have took a hiatus upon collaboration and took a big focus upon their own collection with special spotlight upon "Trend" collection for men and women.

While that denim jumpsuit is mine, and the rest are smartly designed with a hint of green. Very light and summery indeed!
Sheer fabrics, elastic waistband all scattered round.
While the ladies featuring a more darker palette for summer with a hint of baby blue and pink, but featuring chiffon printed dress!

See the full lookbook after the jump.
The products shown are available in selected stores and should be in store by May, ask for H&M Trend.

Maison Martin Margiela at H&M Lookbook (unfinished)

WHAT YOU GONNA DO ON THE 15th of November?

MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA AT H&M.
MEOW.

MORE AFTER THE JUMP!

ADRHM

This makes me cry.
I always love how H&M advertise or marketing their collaboration, but this time Anna Dello Russo at H&M's music video is by-far disappointing, and now scaring me of what is gonna happen for the Maison Martin Margiela at H&M which now should be expecting it to be arrive round about October (right after the launch of ADRatHM)

Maison Martin Margiela at H&M

Few days ago, a very heavy rumour been spreading across the industry with Vogue reporting Maison Martin Margiela might be the next collab for HM. Day after, H&M announced it's indeed fact that Maison Martin Margiela will be the next collab for November.

The collection, minimalist and functional of course, will feature the inspirations and lookback to le Maison itself. Various cat coats and darted knitwear.
The collection consists of:-
8 17 21 11 22 5 (Womens)
3 21 16 21 12 9 (Mens)

There might be more, have no information just yet.
(If you don't know what those numbers are, please Wikipedia MMM itself as its a major characteristic of the brand)

Nov 15 2012. save up, people.

FLYING THE FLAG.

FIRSTLY, HERE'S TO YOU MA'AM!
DIAMOND JUBLIEE!!

Back to business, Burberry launches their Autumn / Winter 2012 (bit far ahead no?) campaign today, along with of course new Burberr-ies (gonna start calling them that now, haha) featuring Roo Panes, and Gabriella Wilde. The campaign was shot on location near Royal Naval College in Greenwich, London. Focusing the night time London with its scenary and of course the London fog! From today, you may start buying your AW12 Burberry wardrobe, so if you can't find something for summer, save it and invest into Autumn/Winter!! and London stores will store the collection on the 6th June.

HAIL THE "LONDON" WEATHER!

The Summer Breeze?

There's always a saying that "Simplicity is always the most important element and the key to success or invasion to human mind." First with Apple, successfully promoted its sleek and simple design products across the globe, now maybe its Burberry's turn as it launched a capsule collection, under Burberry Brit, named Brit White. The collection features the essentials wardrobe selections inspired by the British Summertime (BRIGHTON!! - HWx), such as light trench in fresh palette, using lightweight and breathable fabrics. Alongside with the launch, Burberry also launching a Burberry Brit Summer fragrances (One for each gender).
On the other side, to celebrate its Eyewear line launch, Burberry hosted live performances in four different cities, Paris, Milan, New York, and Sydney, Featured One Night Only, The Daydream Club, Marika Hackman and Life in Film headlined various events on the nights of 3rd and 4th May.
Furthermore, the event marked debut performances for the likes of Yelle, Hande Kodja, Lucie Lucas, Beatrice Rosen (in Paris); Eros Galbiati, Alex Uhlmann... (in Milan); Dani Stahl, Fiona Byme, Mike Nouveau (in New York); Miranda Otto, Candice Lake and more (in Sydney).

The band journeys have been logged and released online via the Burberry web, and social media throughout May.

Anna Dello Russo, the well-known for her directional editorials and leadership for major magazines across the globe. Now collaborate with H&M, to create a unique accessories line and due to launch on October 4, 2012. Yet again, don't forget that this is not the Autumn / Winter designer collection. If you realise the pattern from earlier this year with the launch of Versace at H&M SS12 in January, then David Beckham for H&M in February, then of-course Marni at H&M at March. Proposing a pattern of collaboration on the way from H&M. Now, October - Anna Dello Russo at H&M, who would it be at November? and would there be another one at September or December?
Would it be Tom Ford for H&M as rumours have spread round? or would it be Thom Browne as few blogs have mentioned? ALL SHALL SEE.

The 360oC Experience

Burberry going from strength to strength with its technology breakthrough. Starting with the first to do Twitshow during London Fashion Week last year, then with the opening of Beijing Flagship store, it created a 3Dimension runway. Now, with its new, biggest flagship store in Asia Pacific region (yet or?) opening in Taipei, Taiwan.
Burberry came up with a 360 degree film, mixing the physical visualisation with digital twist. The experience starts tomorrow/today (26th April) at 10am over at http://www.burberry.com .alongside with few live music performance and various sensory-testing experience, bringing everything British into the newly built in Taipei 101 Shopping Centre.
Images on the red carpet and few videos will followed after the event.

Bit of fooling round with the new season clothes.

SS13 "Harry's Prediction"

Just had a thought.
I know this is about a year away, but I just had a weird thought about this metallic trend will come back in SS13 or even sooner few days ago.
I've put this moodboard today (its my first digital moodboard so please bear with me)

SO. HARRY - I AM PREDICTING:-
Silver / Off-Glitter pattern / printed / fabrics
Metallic / Bold / Block Accessories
for Spring / Summer 2013.

What do you think? drop me a line :D go contact page and find out how!

Forecast for AW12-13

I know nothing about the future, but I guess I can predict some trends.
For the ladies, I think the sweet romantic colours will return with its florals, jumpsuit?
For the mens, Turtle neck will be big and worn underneath a suit while the white tee matching will return prior pre-AW12.
Traveller style all round.

FASHION WEEK STARTS 14th. look out.

23. The Months before AW12

Burberry just released images of their Prorsum Autumn/Winter 2012 Pre-collection.
Bit of mens and bits of ladies.
While the ladies are based on the khaki colour palette, along side with the pinched waist or the chucky waistbelt buckle, the men involves reinventing some classic Burberry trenches with new line of buttons and cut (like the pitch at the waistline), a splash of red & dark blue could be seen as well.
BUT DAMN, I will want a pair of suit trousers. WHERES MA SANTA D';

20. OCD <> HM

If anyone have met me in reality, they will all know that I have a OCD (obsession) with H&M, do not know why nor what happened. I just do.
So this post is to unleash my obsession with H&M to you all, firstly with selection from the Versace for H&M SS12, which's coming out 19th January to European online markets only.
Then I shall show you bits and pieces of their new lookbook for their new season (which have already started to arrive in store). Before I start, the Part 1 of Versace for H&M now on upto 70% off (price scale from £199.99 to £39.99), a lot of this season's clothing have gone into the sale WAY before the norm.
